4MM Limited trading as Everyday Car Loans is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Our FCA reference number is 947962. You can verify our authorisation on the FCA Register at register.fca.org.uk.
What Service Do We Provide?
We act as a credit broker, not a lender. This means we introduce you to a panel of FCA-authorised finance providers who may be able to offer you a finance agreement for the purchase of a vehicle. We do not make the lending decision ourselves - that decision is made entirely by the lender.
The finance products our panel lenders may offer include:
- Hire Purchase (HP) - you pay fixed monthly instalments and own the vehicle outright at the end of the agreement
- Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) - lower monthly payments with a larger optional final payment (“balloon”) if you want to own the vehicle
- Conditional Sale - similar to HP; ownership transfers automatically on the final payment
- Personal loans - an unsecured loan to purchase a vehicle of your choice
Not all products are available from all lenders, and the products available to you will depend on your individual circumstances.
Are We a Lender?
No. We are a credit broker only. We will never lend you money directly. Our role is solely to introduce your application to lenders on our panel who may be willing to provide finance.
Any finance agreement you enter into will be between you and the lender directly. You should read the lender’s own documentation carefully before signing any agreement.
Which Lenders Do We Work With?
We work with a limited panel of lenders. This means we do not search the whole of the market on your behalf. The lenders available to us may change from time to time.
Our panel currently includes a range of specialist and mainstream vehicle finance lenders covering a broad spectrum of credit profiles, including those with limited or adverse credit histories. A full and current list of our panel lenders is available on request. Please contact us at info@everydaycarloans.com if you would like this information before submitting an application.
How Are We Paid?
We do not charge you a fee for our service. Our service is free to use.
However, if you enter into a finance agreement following an introduction we have made, we will receive a commission payment from the lender. This commission is paid by the lender, not by you, and is not added to the cost of your finance agreement.
All commission we receive is fixed. The amount or type of commission we receive does not vary based on the interest rate or product you are offered, and it will not affect the rate you receive. Commission amounts may vary between lenders on our panel.
Some lenders on our panel may charge you a fee for arranging finance. If this applies, the lender will tell you before you enter into any agreement.
You are entitled to request further information about the commission arrangements applicable to your specific case. Please contact us if you would like this.
What Information Will We Need From You?
In order to introduce your application to our panel lenders, we will ask you to provide:
- Personal details (name, date of birth, address history)
- Contact details (email address, phone number)
- Employment status and income information
- Details of your monthly outgoings and existing financial commitments
- Information about the vehicle you wish to finance
We collect and use this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By submitting an application you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Will Applying Affect My Credit Score?
Submitting your details to us to check your options will not leave a visible footprint on your credit file. This initial stage uses a soft search only, which does not affect your credit score and cannot be seen by other lenders.
If you proceed to a full application with a specific lender, that lender may conduct a hard credit search, which will be recorded on your credit file and visible to other lenders. The lender will always tell you before carrying out a hard search, and you will have the opportunity to decide whether to proceed.
Are There Any Risks?
Vehicle finance is a credit commitment. Before entering into any finance agreement, please consider the following:
- Affordability: ensure the monthly repayments are affordable for the full term of the agreement, taking into account your income and all existing outgoings
- Interest cost: you will pay back more than you borrow because of interest. The total amount repayable will be clearly stated in any finance agreement before you sign
- Early settlement: you may have the right to settle your agreement early, but charges may apply. Check the terms of any agreement carefully
- Ownership: under HP and PCP agreements, the lender (not you) owns the vehicle until the final payment is made or the balloon payment is settled
- Missing payments: missed or late payments may result in charges and could damage your credit rating. In serious cases, the lender may repossess the vehicle
Your Right to Cancel
Once you have entered into a regulated finance agreement, you have a 14-day cooling-off period during which you may withdraw from the agreement without giving a reason. If you withdraw, you must repay any credit and interest accrued within 30 calendar days. Details of how to exercise this right will be set out in your finance agreement documentation.
Please note that the right of withdrawal applies to the finance agreement itself. It does not automatically cancel any related purchase contract for the vehicle.
